Robin grew up in Ladysmith. While still in matric, a local firm of attorneys contacted her high school and asked for a student who was excellent at typing and accounting. The school referred Robin and after a single interview she was offered a job – before even receiving her matric results! She served at the Ladysmith firm for close to 18 years.
After moving to Centurion in 2012, Robin joined Barnard. “I love the ‘Barnyard’ not only because of all the different personalities and characters but the positive atmosphere and strong guidance from the Directors.”

Robin’s quiet approach and unassuming demeanour belies an extremely tough character. She worries that her colleagues fear her ‘bark’ but those that we asked all agreed that Robin is really just a softy who always strives to deliver her very best.
When not at work, Robin enjoys spending time outdoors in the wild, running, camping, reading, working in the garden, sewing and baking. She also loves Italian food, watching Heartland and listening to music by the Boss, Bruce Springsteen. Robin’s face also lights up when she talks about her three children. “Oh, I just love them to infinity and beyond! They help me to stay sane and focused.”
