Barnard Inc Personal Assistant, Tassandra Bester is a cat and a dog person. But mostly a cat person.
“She’s a fitness freak, stylish, friendly, strong-willed, generous but sometimes a bit difficult – definitely a cat person!” said a colleague who asked to remain anonymous.
Tassandra joined Barnard Inc in 2021. “George Herbst, who I’ve known for more than a decade, joined the firm and later asked me to join his team. The ‘Barnyard’ is very professional and friendly. When you walk into the offices you just know you are in good hands.”

- Tassandra leads with the Empathy strength. She is always ready to put herself in someone else’s shoes and takes pleasure in trying to understand the people around her.
- She also has the Responsibility strength. She is committed to her strong values and does what she says she’ll do. No one knows this better than Tassandra’s daughter, Lia. “It is very important for me to be there for my daughter every step of the way and for her to know she can always count on me; in the same way I was able to rely on my parents”
- She has the Discipline strength which means that she enjoys routine and structure in the way that she does things.
- Tassandra also has the Maximizer strength. She tends to focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. She often seeks to transform something strong into something superb (and succeeds!).
- The last of Tassandra’s top 5 strengths is the Developer strength. She is easily able to recognise and cultivate the potential in others. She says she chose a career in law because she likes helping people, and this is evident in the way she treats those around her.
When Tassandra isn’t helping people at work or giving attention to her loved ones and fur babies, she enjoys spending time with Lia, taking her places; braaiing and visiting with the family; or challenging herself in CrossFit or boxing!
