Thank you for joining us in Cape Town for the annual ICLA Conference recently. We are sure you will agree that the meeting discussions were insightful and worthwhile and that the event activities reflected the true ICLA spirit of synergy and partnership.
As the host for this year’s event, we would like to express our gratitude to you all for making the effort to travel so far for the Conference. I would also like to thank our outgoing President, Milan Schuster, for his unwavering support and his impeccable leadership for the Alliance during a particularly difficult time for the world economy and our industry. I am also indebted to the Executive Committee of the Alliance – for their support and advice.
Our guest moderators led interesting discussions that reflected on client perspectives and the lawyer’s view of the relationship and changing client expectations and requirements. I would like to thank Dr. Madelein Kleyn, Kylie van Zyl, Desan Pillay and Tiaan Smit for their input and preparation.
I trust that you have all returned home safely and I look forward to engaging with you all over the coming months. For now, I wish you much success as we end off the year.
