Izak is a Director at Barnard Incorporated and brings more than two decades of experience across corporate, commercial and litigation matters. His background includes senior leadership roles, providing him with valuable insight into corporate governance and boardroom decision-making.

 

He advises on complex commercial disputes, shareholder and director conflicts, insolvency and business restructuring, and regularly assists clients with contract negotiation and drafting. Izak’s expertise also spans labour disputes, environmental law and public law issues, making him a versatile and pragmatic problem solver. He has particular strength in advising on corporate governance and compliance matters, drawing on his experience as a former Group CEO and director of public and private companies. His ability to navigate regulatory frameworks, including the King IV governance code, ensures clients receive thorough and commercially astute guidance.

 

Izak holds a BProc from the University of Pretoria and was admitted as an attorney in 2000. His proven track record of resolving high-profile disputes and overseeing complex transactions reflects his commitment to achieving favourable outcomes for clients across industries and jurisdictions.
