Nerishka is an Associate Attorney at Barnard, advising on corporate, commercial, and compliance matters. Admitted as an attorney in February 2024, she has developed a strong reputation for her experience in corporate transactions, business restructuring, and the drafting and review of commercial agreements.

Her ability to analyze complex legal issues and deliver clear, strategic advice makes her a valued member of the Commercial team. Her work includes preparing transactional documentation, conducting legal due diligence for acquisitions, managing legal compliance audits, and drafting financial documents such as loan agreements and National Credit Regulator applications. She also assists with trust incorporation, managing all compliance matters, company secretarial duties and ongoing corporate governance requirements. She helps clients address regulatory and commercial risks with precision and attention to detail.

She holds a BCom degree specialising in Marketing Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and an LLB (cum laude) from the University of South Africa. She has further completed programmes in Compliance Management through the University of Cape Town and in Risk Governance and Compliance at the Wits Mandela Institute. She is currently completing Advanced Company Law I, also through the Wits Mandela Institute.

Prior to her legal career, Nerishka worked in sales and marketing within the pharmaceutical industry, which contributes valuable commercial insight to her practice. She is known for her thorough approach, commercial awareness, and ability to deliver practical, client-focused solutions in fast-paced transactional matters.
